Sergio Cabanas, Esq. founded The Divorce Lawyers | Cabanas Law Firm in 2006 in Pembroke Pines out of a profound personal understanding of family hardship & legal struggle.  Having witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of prolonged courtroom battles, he established the firm on an unshakeable vow: to protect clients from destructive litigation & guide them toward fair, peaceful, & lasting resolutions.

Attorney Cabanas brings over three decades of legal experience to this mission.  He began his distinguished legal career in 1992 as a prosecuting attorney with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office.  He later refined his trial skills in insurance defense, defending medical professionals against malpractice claims before expanding into complex disability & life insurance litigation.  Today, as a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Mediator & active community speaker, Mr. Cabanas offers a rare combination of seasoned courtroom advocacy & skilled peacemaking.
